This is a historical fiction of King Solomon first four years as King of Israel. During this time, he developed trade the Phoenicians, Egyptians, Spanish and others in the region. He not only laid the ground work for the building of the First Temple in these four years. But he constructed two ports, the beginnings of Israeli Navy, mobilized the Israeli army with chariots and cavalry units. His army would defeat the Assyrians and take Damascus. King Solomon would begin to marry his many wives and concubines during this time. One of the more famous marriages is with the Egyptian Princess. Whose dowry from the Egyptian Pharaoh was the destruction of Gezer, the capital of the Philistines. The novel is told thru the eyes of Asher and Menahe, who have aged and now officers in the Israeli army. King Solomon appoints them to be consults in Spain and Egyptian. Both find the year's foreign assignment to be dangerous and ripe with political intrigue.
