Giraldus Cambrensis
Despite a frustrated ecclesiastical career, Giraldus Cambrensis (Gerald of Wales, c.1146–1220/3) composed many literary works, including in volume 3 this polemical-apologetic account of his own life, and the life of St David. The two Latin texts, with an English preface, were published together in the Rolls Series in 1863.
