For the 86th release on 100% Pure we gladly welcome MARC ROMBOY. Working in dance music for over a decade, Marc Romboy’s true passion is electronic music with a certain break dance appeal - reminiscent of old school Chicago dance floor insanity. At age five, Romboy was listening to The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd from his parents record collection. Three years later, he bought his first record ‘The Robots’ by fellow Düsseldorf inhabitants Kraftwerk (“I’ll never forget singing it to our local record dealer, trying to find what it was”). And at age ten, Romboy started DJ-ing. Even now, decades later, the thirtysomething-year-old never stops coming up with fresh and innovative ideas to push the limits of electronic sounds. For 100% Pure, he has produced a pumpin’ new EP that includes a remix by Ramon Tapia. The Speech A thick, penetrating beat and metallic percussions evolve into a steady rhythm with an underground vibe.
