· This 12” is the first fruit from “Foxbase Beta” Richard X’s re-production of Saint Etienne’s classic debut album “Foxbase Alpha” originally issued on Heavenly Recordings in 1991. Richard has returned to the original master tapes and re-produced the whole album and the results are stunning. “Foxbase Beta” will be available as a limited edition CD via the bands website only www.saintetienne.com or itunes during mid October 2009. · Richard X started out as a pioneer of the bootleg craze, releasing limited edition singles under the artist name of Girls On Top between 2001 and 2002. He signed to Virgin Records as a result of the interest in the early Girls On Top singles and released his debut album Richard X Presents His X-Factor Vol. 1 in 2003. He has now become a successful record producer, producing hit singles for artists including Sugababes, Kelis, Liberty X and Rachel Stevens and remixing for artists including Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Gwen Stefani, and Depeche Mode.
