He was one of the pioneers and innovators of the solid-body electric guitar, and his techniques served as inspiration for the Gibson Les Paul guitar. Les Paul is not only a great guitarist, he is also an inventor of modern recording technology for multiple track recordings. Every track on this album contains music history for the way Les Paul plays the electric guitar as well as for Mary Ford's vocals which are layered and beautifully harmonized. The songs were recorded with multiple tracks where Mary Ford harmonized with herself and Les Paul played several guitars. Their hits included "How High The Moon", "Bye Bye Blues", "Don'cha Hear Them Bells", and "Vaya Con Dios".
