CD reissue. The Get It album represents Welshman Edmunds' most accessible and famous period, the late '70s. Opening with a killer cover of 'Get Out Of Denver' from Bob Seger, this release takes you back to the sounds of the late 50's and early 60's. The songwriting genius Nick Lowe rears it's lyrically fab head in the utterly brilliant rocker 'I Knew The Bride'. Edmunds, Lowe & Company outdid themselves on this. The choice of songs is outstanding, the musicianship superb and the production first class! There is a great version of 'Hey Good Lookin' that would make Hank proud. If you like your rock 'n' roll like it came out of Sun Studios, with a sense of humour as well as a sense of history, then Get It.
