"It took 2 years - and a first acclaimed EP - for Basement Revolver to release Heavy Eyes. Supported by two singles Johnny et Words released in 2016, the Canadian trio is conjugating in the plural form 90's infused indie rock and delicately sweet pop music plus adding the complexity of the recent Knocking, on which Chrisy Hurn's asthenic tessitura lay down on a hushed drum beat. It's a promising debut "bandage-album", filled with private stories and personal wounds of the past, which could calm down the pains of those who'll listen to it. Non-depressive people please back off.
