Jarak Qaribak

Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead, The Smile) has teamed up with Israeli musician (and former Radiohead tour mate) Dudu Tassa on their debut album as a duo, Jarak Qaribak (Arabic for 'Your Friend Is Your Neighbour').

Those familiar with Jonny Greenwood know his versatililty as a musician. Jack-of-all-trades in Radiohead and The Smile, as well as a prominent and Oscar-nominated film composer. On top of all that, he has also created the widely acclaimed Junun album with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur and Indian ensemble, the Rajasthan Express.

On Jarak Qaribak, Jonny Greenwood & Dudu Tassa focus their ever-innovative musical mindset on Middle Eastern guitar music, a new setting for Greenwood's unique virtuosic guitar style. The album is an invitation to step out of your comfort zone and get acquainted with another world of music.

Jarak Qaribak is (of course) produced by long-time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.
