Mark Snyder
Messy is Mark Snyder's second solo album and the soundtrack to the multimedia compositions he performs live. Using sound and light, Mark spins stories about his world and the people that populate it. Malmö is a caricature of a Swedish dock worker turned astronaut, Copenhagen chronicles a weekend chaperoning Baby Elvis and his fellow students for the production of the Michael Frayn play and Harvey details the struggle to trust and return to a normal life after the tragic loss of a young family. These stories are told with childlike melodies, processed and blended with recordings of the people & places in the tales, all without narrative. Track Listing: 1. Harvey for processed clarinet, electronics & video 2. Alluvium for processed accordion, electronics & video 3. Malmö for processed tuba, electronics & video 4. Messy for processed clarinet, electronics & video 5. Butterfly for processed clarinet, electronics & video 6. Copenhagen for processes tuba, electronics & video 7. Pornography for processed clarinet, electronics & video.
