All the early sides from a man who helped create the musical template for rhythm & blues and then rock & roll. So much that happened later flowed from the West Coast R&B scene of the 1940's-styles were created, a rocking beat was invented, the honking sax dominated and most importantly some of the most enjoyable records were made.
