Compiled and transferred by Grammy Award winning Chris King this is a compilation of ultra rare early Country/Old Time Music/Bluegrass. This set covers the field recordings made by the Bluebird label in the late 1930's and early 1940's. They went to the highways and byways of rural America to look for talent for their Old Time Music series and the wonderful music included here is the result.
