In 1977, Linda Ronstadt released "Simple Dreams," her eighth album, on the Asylum Records label. It contains numerous Ronstadt classics, including her version of Roy Orbison's "Blue Bayou," the Buddy Holly cover "It's So Easy," the Warren Zevon songs "Carmelita" and "Poor Poor Pitiful Me," and her interpretation of the Rolling Stones song "Tumbling Dice."
