After Blind Blake disappeared from the recording scene in the early 1930s, the next influential figure in the East Coast blues was Buddy Moss. He recorded solidly for a couple of years, it was only when he was sent to prison in 1935 that the next important musician from the region appeared, Blind Boy Fuller. Moss's stretch in jail coincided more or less with Fuller's brief period in the spotlight.
