Beyond Earth

Composer/Performer, Matthew White, invites you on a journey that could take you beyond Earth. Using a keyboard as his orchestra, the artist takes advantage of multi-track recording and electronic effects to bring his musical imagination to life. This album, Beyond Earth, is composed of original scores ranging from classical, to techno, and even rock n roll. I'm sure you will enjoy this CD, and please feel free to contact me. ' I began taking music lessons when I was seven years old. I first played guitar, but eventually shifted into keyboard, which I enjoy the most because you have an entire orchestra at your fingertips. I have always been inspired by instrumental soundtracks, the type of music I listen to the most. At an early age I also began experimenting with motion pictures, using my families home video camera to make documentaries and stop motion movies. I now combine the two trades, as I create commercial, corporate and theatrical productions under my own company 4th Coast. Operating your own company is a lot of stress, but it's very satisfying knowing the hard work you put in is for yourself. Our most recent film is a biography titled The Quest of Carmen D'Avino, which premiered at the New York Independent Film Festival, and has since been acquired for distribution by the Manhattan based company The Cinema Guild. The soundtrack for the film includes two piano solos I composed and performed using the keyboard. The secret to a keyboard's quality, is purchasing a unit that has realistic samples of the real instruments. Please keep in mind that I am in no way saying, keyboard can recreate a person playing the actually instrument. I've created my own style of music which should be looked at on a creative level.
