Bonnie Lou
A genuine musical pioneer, BONNIE LOU was the first female artist to cross over from C&W to R&R/Rockabilly during the early-mid 1950s.
She enjoyed particular popularity in Europe on the back of her international hit, the million-selling 'Tennessee Wig Walk'.
Bonnie also registered in the US with 'Seven Lonely Days'/'Just Out Of Reach' and 'Daddy-O', while sides like 'Little Miss Bobby Sox', 'One Track Love', 'No Rock'n'Roll Tonight', 'I Want You', 'Kit'n'Kaboodle', 'Takes Two', 'Teen Age Wedding' and 'I'm Available' all enjoyed regional success.
This compilation presents the Very Best of her output between 1953-62, recorded for three different labels, the first time her career has been thus anthologised.
Many of these sides are unavailable elsewhere on CD, making this a must-have compilation.
