Always a fan of Latin-American rhythms, she discovered a tune while working at the famous Copacabana in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro, and in her hands, "Tico Tico" became an international hit in 1944. Her work has been sadly neglected for many years but this generous 44 track CD will revive memories of her consummate skill.
