Sebastian Plano
The Argentine cellist, composer and producer Sebastian Plano is now releasing his new album 'Save Me Not' via Mercury KX. While his third album (the 2019 Grammy nominated "Verve") was extraordinary - a mix of gently bowed strings, babbling piano lines and eloquent electronica - his fourth album takes things to a whole new level. Recorded at night in his Berlin studio, here he goes to unprecedented, even greater extremes in order to satisfy his urge to express himself through the creation of ensemble music alone. After the release of "A Present For A Young Traveler" and the first two parts of his "Soul" trilogy ("Avow" & "Elan"), Plano now reveals the last piece of the puzzle:
The whole album consists only of him: he reduces the instruments to a minimum and drives himself to create an authentic, unique soundscape. Not only is it a fearless tribute to an area where Plano feels most uninhibited, it's also an open invitation to step inside and create your own. "Now I can do it all by myself. I am the string quartet, I am the orchestra, I conduct the piece. I don't like being dependent on anyone and 'Save Me Not' best defines who I am: as Musician, as a creative spirit and as a person. I just want to be free. As free as possible ... "
