CD reissue. Skywriter, the Jacksons seventh studio album (1973) is maybe one of their most underrated albums. It lacked the big monster hits when it came out, coupled with the murmurs that Michael's voice was changing, it didn't sell so well. Michael got to express himself a little more as a young man. "Touch" (originally recorded by the Supremes in 1971), features Michael and Jermaine singing about satisfying a woman in bed. Michael (14 years) expressing himself a little more as a young man, no longer a child. Skywriter is definitely not your run-of-the-mill album, this one's a keeper, for sure. With it's mixture of harder blues, gospel, funk and even progressive elements this album showcased The Jacksons running to the top. It's obvious they really enjoyed making this album.
INCL. "CORNER OF THE SKY", "HALLELUJAH DAY" & "TOUCH"
