DFA's Black Dice release 'Smiling Off', the first single to be taken off their new album 'Broken Ear Record' on October 3rd. It tangles together industrial stomps along the lines of Cabaret Voltaire or Autechre, while mindful of Adrian Sherwood's On-U Sound. 'Smiling Off' is rubbery and catchy enough to warrant spectacular new remixes from Luomo, ZZ pot and the DFA. Each takes the pulsing skronk to a new level, the DFA and Luomo providing suitably epic dancefloor workouts that you would expect from such luminaries, whilst ZZ Pot trips out into a state of pulsing mania. 2005.
