Mike Mandel
Digitally remastered edition of this 1978 album. Mike Mandel was the keyboard player with the Players Association and Larry Coryell's Eleventh House. Sky Music was recorded at Vanguard's 23rd Street Studios in New York City in the spring of 1978, using some of the hottest players on the New York scene at that time such as guitarist Steve Khan and saxophonists George Young and David Sanborn. It was a funky Jazz-Fusion synthesizer-led album with great grooves and melody. Sleeve notes are by Jazz FM's Steve Quirk, who has been pushing for this release for some time. Also includes a note from Mike Mandel himself.
