Best Of The Early Years
B.b. King
A timely release for this compilation from the original King of the Blues, featuring the original versions from his classic period, many of which he revisited over the years, most famously in his collaboration with Eric Clapton. This is the first "Best of B.B. King" to be released by Ace that features the original masters from the 50s and 60s and is an ideal starting point for those who find the hundreds of B.B. King box sets and original albums too confusing or simply too "in-depth". Four of these tracks were re-cut on the joint album with Eric Clapton, "Riding with the King" and many of these songs make up a large part of B.B.'s live set to this day. Included are the definitive versions of classics such as 'Rock Me Baby', 'Everyday I Have the Blues', 'Sweet Little Angel', '3 O'clock Blues' and 'Sweet Sixteen'. 25 tracks. Ace. 2007.
