Fear and Loathing in Aspen

Bobby Kennedy III writes and directs this biopic starring Jay Bulger as gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. Having settled in Aspen, Colorado with his wife, Sandy (Emily Garnet), and young son to finish a novel Thompson discovers that a nearby factory is discarding its waste into the local river.

Determined to do something about this, Thompson decides to run for the role of sheriff at the next election. Calling on the local counterculture population to support him he begins an unprecedented campaign that is met with stern opposition from conservative mayor Eve Homeyer (Cheryl Hines) and her middle-class supporters.
