Deadball

Offbeat Japanese sports comedy in which a young man with preternatural baseball skills is forced to join the team of a juvenile detention centre. Jubeh Yakyu (Tak Sakaguchi) possesses the ability to hit the ball so hard he is a danger to others. He quits the sport when one of his strikes hits and kills his father and turns to crime as a means of escape.

As a consequence, he finds himself sent to the Pterodactyl Juvenile Reformatory, where the sadistic school authorities threaten to kill his cellmate, Four Eyes (Mari Hoshino), if he declines their invitation to join the baseball team. However, once back out on the field, Jubeh discovers that he is not the only one able to kill with a baseball and finds himself battling, not just for victory, but for his life...
