Documentary portrait of the Queen Mother, whose life spanned the 20th century and all of its technological and political turmoil. Born in 1900 to a family from the Scottish nobility, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon became a royal when she married Albert, Duke of York, in 1923. She gave birth to Elizabeth II in 1926 and was described by Adolf Hitler as 'the most dangerous woman in Europe' due to her importance to British morale in WWII.
The Queen Mother passed away in March 2002. This documentary looks back at her life, private and public, and examines the key relationships and conflicts that shaped her.
