The Scarlet Tunic

A tale of forbidden romance based on a short story by Thomas Hardy. Deserting German hussar, Matthaus Singer (Jean-Marc Barr) falls madly in love with solicitor's daughter Frances Groves (Emma Fielding) whereby she is torn between her duty and her desire. Frances's father (Jack Shepherd) would prefer her to marry the weasly suitor Humphrey (John Sessions).
