In the tradition of EAST IS EAST and the films of Mike Leigh, MISCHIEF NIGHT is the perfect blend of drama and comedy. Set in a racially-diverse Leeds suburb, the film follows the plight of two families – one white, the other Asian, as local radicals rise up and long lost love blossoms. Set against the backdrop of the titular evening -- the day before Guy Fawkes Night -- a time when youngsters are given carte blanche to play pranks upon their unsuspecting neighbours, MISCHIEF NIGHT is an incisive, yet humorous look at today’s multi-cultural Britain.
