Rival Sons | Lightbringer

The two-time-Grammy-nominated band Rival Sons is set to release their new album, "Lightbringer", on October 20. This comes as the band's second full-length release for 2023, following the critically lauded "Darkfighter" that debuted in June.

"Lightbringer" delivers an even more significant impact than its predecessor. Rival Sons aimed for a balance of energy and meaning between the two albums. While "Darkfighter" marked a new direction for Rival Sons, "Lightbringer" delves deeper, reflecting more self-exploration and a quest to determine the band's current and future identity. Their journey during the creation of these albums was marked by greater challenges and compromises, which they believe allowed them to truly find their essence and direction.

Both "Darkfighter" and "Lightbringer" were recorded during sessions throughout 2021, with the band once again collaborating with their trusted producer, Dave Cobb. The earlier release of "Darkfighter" received widespread acclaim during the summer.
