This beginning scissor skills book has 33 pages of lines, shapes and simple cut out pictures of dinosaurs and monsters for practising scissor skills. The cutout pictures are spread out among the shapes and lines to provide more interest and to give an opportunity for a change of activity by also coloring in. The back of each page is blank to allow for cutting out without affecting another picture. The cut out pictures have a dashed outline, showing where to cut with the scissors. This outline provides an easier shape for practising cutting, while still producing an interesting and recognisable picture of the item. The lines and shapes are made of, or surrounded by, dashed lines to show where to cut. Many of the shapes have pictures inside them to pique interest in the activity. The pages can be cut out of the book as whole pages, to make it easier for children to follow the lines or cut out the shapes. Each page has a dotted line around the perimeter which can also be used for scissor cutting practice to show where the page can be cut out as a whole.
