About the AuthorMavis Beatrice Darling has a Master Degree in Social Work from Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia and has enjoyed an illustrious career as a civil servant in The Bahamas. She is also a speaker and author. Twenty years ago, Darling instituted Kingdor National Parkinson's Foundation (KNPF) in The Bahamas in honor of her parents, Reverend Dr. King S. Darling and wife, Dorothy L. Darling. The name Kingdor is a blend of "King" and "Dor" KNPF is an Affiliate Chapter of the Parkinson's Foundation in the United States. She has authored several books over the past two years, commencing with, "The Invisible Companion" which is a captivating story regarding her father's battle with Parkinson's Disease. "A Royal Romance: The Prince's Obsession," her second book, details an amazing love story from the most unimaginable beginnings. Her third book and second genre is, "Twisted Fates: The Quest For Love," which chronicles the unfolding of a love story surviving the travails of life. The fourth is "The Financial Freedom Handbook - a guide to building long-lasting wealth." The fifth, "The Runaway: Redemption," which talks about a young girl who left home in search of a job as a model. And this her sixth, "The Prayer Handbook: The Path To A Fruitful Life," is her first book in the genre on songs, prayers, and scripted stories. The reason for this book is simple: to share the message of God's fullness with people at every stage in life, through script statements, prayers, meditations and songs, because all He requires is our eternal devotion and connection to Him. Through His word, God has assured us of His covering as we go through the journey of life. This book is meant to restore faith and hope to the broken-in-spirit and weak-at-heart and everyone else going through one problem or another. God is ever faithful, and His ears are not heavy that He cannot hear us when we pray (Isaiah 59:1). Darling's work is generally centered on the themes of marriage and family - both passions are dear to her. She enjoys traveling, meeting people, speaking, and writing.
