Revelations of Divine Love (Annotated)

Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-This book contains a historical context, where past events or the study and narration of these events are examined. The historical context refers to the circumstances and incidents surrounding an event. This context is formed by everything that, in some way, influences the event when it happens. A fact is always tied to its time: that is, to its time. Therefore, when analyzing events that took place tens, hundreds or thousands of years ago, it is essential to know the historical context to understand them. Otherwise, we would be analyzing and judging what happened in a totally different era with a current perspective. Julian of Norwich (1342-c.1416) is known to us almost only through his book, The Revelations of Divine Love, which is widely recognized as one of the great classics of spiritual life. She is believed to have been the first woman to write a book in English that has survived. We don't know Julian's real name, but his name is taken from St Julian's Church in Norwich, where he lived as an anchor for most of his life. We know from the medieval literary work, The Book of the Margery Kempe, that Julian was known as a spiritual adviser.
