The Mad Seer of the Winter

Myramorin has served as the Court Seer for the royal family of Lathai faithfully for generations. Although he is an outsider, the only Snow Elf in the High Elven city, he has always been welcomed. That was, until the death of King Raluvethil, when he was given a vision of a future that he is desperate to change. His reputation slipping away, he is considered by many to be mad. The Queen treats him as a favored pet or a child, and the Captain of her guard thinks that he is a danger to the throne. At the same time, he is offered a chance to escape, when his oldest friend, the so called Demon Queen, makes a return to the land of the living. But leaving with the Demon Queen means throwing away everything he has worked for, and it means that his reputation was destroyed for no reason. Walking a narrow line between loyalty to his Patron Goddess, and loyalty to the Queen he knows will soon be born, Myramorin faces difficult decisions that will have ramifications for all of Illistra. The Mad Seer of the Winter takes place shortly after The Exiled Prince of the North, although it can be read independently.
