The Boy who loved Old Cars

Jenny Holland a 10th grade teacher inherits her uncles sizable estate when he dies and discovers the man she knew growing up as a child is not the same man that she thought he was. The Boy who Loves Old Cars is a mystery novel about a teacher who inherits her Uncle's fortune. As Jenny Harriman delves into her Uncles' life she discovers inconsistencies with the accounts of his life. As a child Jenny had been led to believe that her Uncle John had grown up in Chantilly Virginia and that his parents lived on a 20-acre estate nearby. He had apparently attended William and Mary College in Williamsburg graduating Magna cum laude. None of that was in fact true. In 1933 Adolf Hitler was made Chancellor of Germany. He spent six years preparing his soldiers for The Final Solution an idea he had cooked up in 1925 when he was in prison for treason about how he planned to murder all Jews in Europe. The book he wrote in Landsberg prison was called Mein Kampf where he wrote in detail about his plot to Aryanize Germany and then as he conquered more countries, Europe. From 1933 onwards Hitler ordered sweeping changes to German Jews? In 1939 he invaded Poland which started World War II. Over the next 6 years he murdered 6,000,000 Jews detaining and killing them in concentration camps throughout Europe until he was finally defeated in 1945. Many of his soldiers were arrested after the war and tried at Nuremberg, but many escaped justice and fled to Brazil, and Argentina. Many also managed to slip into the United States using forged documents. The Boy who Loves Old Cars tracks one such war criminal, a Hauptsturmführer and a Nazi who worked at Auschwitz, Majdanek, and Buchenwald concentration camps overseeing Jews and deciding on their fate. This man managed to enter the USA on forged papers and through a series of deft moves founded a company in Detroit where he lived and worked in anonymity for 17 years until one day a new employee recognized him as one of his captors from the camps and turned him in. The Nazi panicked and disappeared while Artemis Securities a company that tracks down Nazi war criminals chased him across a dozen States. Luckily for the man he had an escape plan with multiple different identity's and a suitcase full of money, so was able to disappear at a moment's notice. Jenny Harriman a mild-mannered high school English teacher never in her wildest dreams imagined that she would get caught up in such danger and intrigue, but she finds herself trying to find out who her uncle was. The Boy who Loves Old Cars is a fictional mystery novel that takes a deep dive into the finding out the truth, because truth like justice matters.
