Meadow and the Captain

Have you ever felt that you have no control, whatsoever, over your life? Join the club! Meadow, whose dad is a fighter pilot in the Air Force, has to move to the wrong state, where she has the wrong teacher at school, the wrong mediocre brain, the wrong swing on the playground, and wears the wrong glasses. All Meadow wants to do is to find a way to make a good impression at her new school and outsmart the bullies that plague her. Meadow also longs to know what she can excel at. Life can only improve with the help of her off-beat, older brother, thoughtful mom, stuck-in-the-past Grams, and no-nonsense dad, who she calls the Captain. Throw a tornado and the Captain's constant efforts to run her home like a boot camp and hilarity ensues. You'll fall in love with the accident-prone Meadow, who learns that happiness can be found in all the wrong places, especially when life doesn't go to plan.
