Bare Islands

Harmony is an expat from Minnesota who lives in China with Livia, an expat from Manitoba. Their backgrounds are only one of the reasons they became best friends as soon as they met each other far from home. Livia's boyfriend, Hiram, moved with her to China more than a few years ago. Wherever Livia goes, Hiram tries to follow. When Harmony is invited to a tropical island off the coast of Thailand for a unique vacation, she brings Livia along. Naturally, Livia brings Hiram. To avoid being a third wheel, Harmony invites Mthandeni, an expat from Cape Town, whom she only just started dating. It might be too soon to take him on a vacation, especially to an island that has been rented out by a nudist organization. Ready or not, their tropical island vacation is clothing optional. Earl and Edna are an older couple who met Harmony a few years ago. As lifelong naturists, the week on Ko Sawan is their idea of a dream vacation. They have heard all about Livia and Hiram and can't wait to meet them. Mthandeni is a complete surprise. Rick and Amanda are new to everybody. They are visibly older than Harmony and her friends, and younger than Earl and Edna. On their honeymoon, one of them is more comfortable on a nudist island than the other, while neither seem all that comfortable with each other. Fortunately for them, and unfortunately for everyone else, Rick meets a woman he might prefer and Amanda meets a man who could easily replace her husband. Matilda and Gage are not new to nature, and enjoy going to nudist events whenever they can. Ko Sawan being a nudist island for a week only makes it a tropical paradise for them. Matilda is clearly older than Gage, though younger than Rick and Amanda. Gage is closer to Harmony and Livia. A nude week on a tropical island in an exotic country is not enough for some, too much for others, and a vacation that none of them will ever forget.
