Through The Motions

These poems are a tale about surviving one's 20's, first stabs at love and establishing boundaries. The author preferred to write under the pen name 'Bray' as he took a lot of convincing to think his random posts might be of interest to others apart from close friends. He describes himself firstly, as a proud black man, then a screen, voice and stage actor. The poems have been extracted and compiled in chronological order from a larger body of work; Written during the first lockdown of 2020. Their emotional range goes from a quiet sea breeze on a summer's day, to a howling of the same mid-gale. A perfect description for the crockpot of emotions that has characterised 2020.
