Tsehayu Enquo Selassie: Antifascist Patriot and True Servant of the Nation is the untold story of one of the prominent leaders of the Resistance against the Italian occupation, a reformer, developer, and innovator who served Ethiopia from age 12 until his death. At Maichew, he defended Ethiopia against the Fascist Italian invasion. In 1935 Tsehayu helped introduce guerilla warfare methods to defeat this powerful enemy who employed tanks, airplanes, and even nerve gas. A leader of the resistance and guerrilla fighter for five years, Tsehayu victoriously entered Addis Ababa, escorting Emperor Haile Selassie.



As governor in the provinces, he introduced numerous innovations: to stop lawlessness, build hospitals and schools, help farmers, and eradicate slavery. His empathy for the poor put him in conflict with powerful, corrupt officials. Straightforward and outspoken, with strong principles, he protected farmers from the local gentry who used to plunder farm produce without compensation. So, it is no surprise that corrupt and disgruntled officials fabricated unsubstantiated stories and malicious narratives against this ethical statesman, innovator, and developer.
