General Anesthesia in Children

Providing sedation and/or general anaesthesia outside the operating theatre for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures is necessary in view of the increasing demand for care. However, its implementation involves certain risks for the patient that must be identified and treated. The objective of this manual is to describe: The objectives of anaesthesia outside the operating theatre and to know its indications, how to establish a structural organization to ensure optimal safety for patients in order to reduce the risks of adverse effects that the child may incur.
