Seaweed Liquid Fertilizers: Growth Promoting Efficiency in Agricultural Crops

Synthetic fertilizers were used widely in those days for agricultural purposes but led to cause degradation of beneficial soil microbes , vital nutrients , soil fertility and thus rendering the whole soil ecosystem unsuitable for any crop cultivation in future. To avoid these problems, now more attention is focused on the increased use of organic manure. The content of this book highlights manurial value of brown and green seaweed liquid extracts on growth and yield of vegetable crop, cluster bean. The strategies and observations given in this book will throw light on preparation, application and fertilizing efficiency of liquid extracts of marine algae to substitute the usage of chemical fertilizers. The studies also imply that the ingredients of liquid extracts of brown and green marine algae might be used in commercial preparation of effective organic biostimulant for crop productivity. Further, this book provides a possible eco-friendly approach in organic farming towards sustainable agriculture.
