Life of Chinese immigrants in South Sweden

Seminar paper from the year 2012 in the subject Psychology - Social Psychology, grade: A, Linnaeus University, course: Cultural Analysis with filed work, language: English, abstract: The research paper is to investigate adaptation process and current living condition of Chinese immigrants in south part of Sweden. The aim of this paper to see how they live their lives now and to review how they adapt to Swedish environment at the beginning. What's more, it is interesting to explore whether there is any significant difference between the immigrants who come to Sweden before 18 and immigrants who come after 18. The difference would be focus on adaptation process and view of both countries. What kind of difficulties did these two groups of immigrants suffer? What was the positive dimension they went through in Sweden? How did they see China and Sweden? Whether the younger generation have different experiences of adapting to new environment in Sweden and whether they have the same or significant different understanding of these two countries would be essential questions in this research.
