Contributor Bio:  Baker, Lisa Lisa R. Baker, PhD, MSW, is Associate Professor, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and has served on the faculty at University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She has a strong clinical background in perinatal and pediatric health care social work and experience in mental health and crisis services to children and families, for which she has served as a direct practitioner and supervisor. Dr. Baker is also a mental health responder with the Alabama-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team and the American Red Cross. She reviews for Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness and is on the editorial board of Research on Social Work Practice. Dr. Baker has conducted research and published in the areas of disaster preparedness, evidence-based practice, and perinatal health care.
