A decision to be made after an unexpected pregnancy; a political activist is imprisoned with a murder; a date-rapist attempts to make amends; a secret tryst between professor and student switches when three's a crowd; courage shifts from uncle to nephew when a rat appears; a migrant seeks his wife after war; justice comes in the strangest way to a boy abused by a priest; a virtual reality experience takes a strange twist; it's hard to work in the tropics, but the heat has its advantage; a leader loses confidence after an avalanche; a group of citizens save their island's aquifer from a corporation's greed; and three skate punks help their friend tease out the intricacies of time travel.

This book of plays has been formatted for easy reading. Explicit stage or screen directions have been replaced by realistic action with descriptions to allow for a more imaginative feel for the plays. Where appropriate, the dialogue-rich plays are arranged as a stage play while more action-rich plays are shaped as a screenplay. In some cases, action descriptions are a hybrid between stage and screen descriptions as the play could be produced in either format.
