I use poetry as a palette to paint life. I envision worlds and scenes, some horrific while others are quite serene. I use it as a way to express myself and those who live within my worlds. It is safe there, for me anyway. I find religion and horror much more colorful and interesting than the mundane. Which may hold true why most of my work lies there? The title Y was a choice and explained the work to me the best. Y, is always the question. Y, was I writing such horrors, Y, was I when my life now is full? True, it wasn't always that way, but it is now. Perhaps it is some strange form of therapy, which I devised for myself. Some way to quiet the screams in my head, to calm the shaking of my hands. Either way, this is mine. Which I now share with you. I do think of poetry as an extension of myself. I feel that one cannot hide within it, his true personality, his loves, his hate, pain, everything. Now that I have stated this, I have opened myself to scrutinization and you, once you have read this book, may come to question my sanity. Don't feel bad though. You're not alone.
