Dorothy begins her adventures to strange lands as the result of an earthquake. She and her companions (eventually including the Wizard of Oz) fall deep into the earth where they meet many strange people in the various countries there. Among the strange people groups they meet are people who grow on bushes and are vegetable rather than meat inside, people who become invisible because of a type of fruit they eat, and wooden gargoyles with detachable wooden wings.
