Via Gary Dyson, the reader is transported to 1968-the social revolution, the anti-war movement, hippies, psychedelic music, sexual freedom, marijuana and Vietnam. Dyson and his comrades flew Hueys into combat, returning to camp for booze, drugs, psychedelic music, and mortar bombardment. Thus begins his downward spiral.
