Amanda Richardson is an honor student who live with her grandmother and brother in Chicago. All she ever dreamed of was to go to Harvard University in Boston. But one night in May, she was taken by force from her home, with all of the African-American women from infant to 60, and taken to a a far-away planet to be Brides to a race of military space soldiers. Aiden Baxter is a Lieutenant Junior Grade who is in charge of the females in his section of the ship. He sees Amanda and fall in love at first sight. He chooses Amanda to be his bride, but all Amanda wants to do is to go back home to Earth. Does she fall in love with Aiden or does she make it back to Earth?
