Alejandro's Last Chance

Jack's eyes widened in recognition as the very lovely Jessica Banks captured his attention. She seemed absorbed in her cell phone; concentration written all over her face. Her long, wavy black hair lay draped over one shoulder. She appeared even prettier than when he'd seen her at his door yesterday morning.

The pirate's voice shattered his trance. "Don't stare like a one-eyed, lard-brained idiot. Git over there and impress her with yer razor-sharp wit. If that don't work, buy 'er that fancy rum drink."




Jack didn't expect danger, romance and a pirate ghost on his Cayman Island vacation. Soft, sandy Seven Mile Beach seemed like the perfect escape from Michigan's brutal winter, a place to bury his toes-and the memory of being jilted on his wedding day.

Jessica certainly didn't expect an intense, passionate connection with a tourist (of all people!). Since her disastrous marriage ended a year ago, she's become cautious with her heart. But this immediate attraction to Jack sparks a relationship that feels almost-fated.

Neither expected Alejandro, a three-hundred-year-old pirate with his own hidden agenda. From a cloud of spectral pipe smoke, the spirit relentlessly conjures both the daring and the dangerous, pushing Jack into scenarios well outside his buttoned-down world-but, what are his motives? Ultimately Alejandro's last chance will drag Jack and Jessica to the very borders of the spirit world, intertwining past with present.
