Daisy Evans just wants to show Dad her cast. But man! It can be hard waiting for him to return from his underway. As a military kid, Daisy is no stranger to having to wait for Dad to come home, but this is agonizing. Luckily the weekend is packed with activities to keep her distracted. Overrated Turkey Day and D. L.'s regional spelling bee are going to be great. But meeting Rose and Iris (ugh!) puts a damper on everything. Especially when Daisy and Poppy keep running into them. This third installment of Base Brats follows Daisy as she navigates the rough, sad, and sometimes overwhelming feelings of military life, and heck! life in general.
