The Southside Hooker Series

This is a boxset of all five of the popular Southside Hooker mystery series. The series takes place in 1973-4 in South San Jose, CA. Hooker, and his collective family of police, radio dispatchers, retired detective, former Navy SEAL, night disc jockey, and a twenty-pound cat named Box, go about their lives until they are needed to solve a mystery. The Boxset contains: Death on a Dime (classic who done it-- serial killer with a shotgun filled with dimes, killing cops), Night Vision (psychological thriller-- psychopathic mutilator serial killer), Unbidden Garden (cold case/proceedural-- 20-yr-old cold case of buried skeletons and millions of loot), Boomtown (50/50 told from both sides-- an explosives expert doing the same job as an arsonist), and One Day Under the Grass (psychological mystery of multiple personalities-- one personality doing the killing and the other burying the bodies in the seagrass of the San Francisco bay)
