Middle-aged couple Emily and Henry Fox have moved to Sugarbury Falls, Vermont to enjoy a quiet life, but when their neighbor pounds on their door at the crack of dawn pleading for help, they can't refuse. A dead woman lies on the floor of their neighbor's rental cabin. Who is she and what brought her to town? While struggling with the mystery, Emily also struggles with an impossible new boss at the quaint college where she teaches-a boss who may be guilty of her own heinous crime.
