Just before her thirtieth birthday, Julie Newman wakes from a dream and can't wrap a meaning around the visions still vivid in her mind. However, when she answers an ad from the newspaper of a farm for sale and goes to the property, she's taken aback when she sees the same mailbox, the path leading to the top of the hill and the old Oak tree where the Native American warrior had approached her. They were all components of her early morning dream.
She purchases the farm and falls in love with her new home, but strange things begin to happen. A presence, of sorts, makes itself known and Julie's life is turned upside down. Love, happiness, heartbreak, illness, death and destruction, keeps her from her goal of finding true love but she can't bring herself to sell the farm no matter how bad it gets. Some overbearing force holds her captive.
Knowing her own Native American heritage could lead to answers, she turns to her friend Wapa for help. In the process, it's confirmed she is not alone on her beloved farm. The spirit of a legendary Native American Chief seems to have a firm grip on Julie and her surroundings.
Will Julie be able to overcome and escape the powerful, protective controlling force that rules her? Or will she continue to live under the influence of the dominance of the spirit from another time, another realm?
